Where we are and where we are going
Greetings, Adventurer!
Please, pull up a seat at the table and let us share with you what has happened throughout the month of February.
During our annual general Directors meeting (a requirement for B.C. Societies), James Hatheway, a founding member of Mythic Table has decided to resign due in-part to availability conflicts, leaving a seat vacant. James has been a wonderful and dedicated member of the Mythic Team and has made a plethora of exciting contributions during his time in the chair.
Following some discussion, Kevin Koyle was asked to pull up a seat at the table after being voted in as the new Director of Communications; Sarah, previous Director of Communications, will instead be moving to the Director of Production role.
Throughout February we've been hard at work developing our orientation and onboarding processes. We've also been working on improving our social media processes and expanding our social activity – with a long way left to go, we're on the right track. On the software side, we're working hard when time permits to develop our Permissions API but with all the new hands-on-deck we've had this month we're hoping that our core feature development speed will increase!
We've also found some new victim—err, I mean…developers. Welcome to Kevin J., Drew, Tom, and Wyatt! Kevin J. joined the team in early February as our Reddit Lead; his first initiative has been to bring our under-utilized Reddit on-brand. Drew also joined in early and has already taken a lead in our GitLab. Tom, an accomplished freelance web developer, joined around the same time as the above two and has been lending his efforts to developer support related duties, ensuring our tools are on-point. Wyatt is our newest recruit, joining us just recently near the mid-end of February; pursuing a Master's in Computer Science, focusing on Software Engineering Wyatt was excited about the opportunity to work alongside industry veterans and lend his skills, while honing them, to the Mythic cause! We've had a lot of support and we couldn't be more thrilled for how 2022 is unfolding for Mythic Table.
We haven't had the opportunity to close any tickets for this month but we've made some great strides toward closing a few different tickets and fixing some high-priority bugs; including 538 which is currently awaiting it's final stage of quality assurance.
